Dr. Weisner is Board Certified in Orthodontics, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Fewer than 25% of all orthodontists meet the rigorous testing requirements of the American Board of Orthodontists to receive this distinction. Dr. Weisner stays current with the latest technological advances in his field by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars. Dr. Weisner is active in the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association and the American Board of Orthodontists. In 2002, he was selected by his peers to serve as Chairman of the Merimack Valley District Dental Society.
Dr. Weisner is originally from Queens, New York. He earned his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1975. Following graduation, he was accepted to the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, Postdoctoral Orthodontic Program. After receiving his graduate degree in Orthodontics in 1977, Dr. Weisner relocated to North Andover, MA. Dr. Weisner opened his Methuen office in 1980 and his North Andover office in 1986. During his career, Dr. Weisner has instructed in Orthodontics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine Division of Postdoctoral Orthodontics.
Dr. Weisner resides in Andover with his wife Maureen and their two children, Adrienne and Michael. He enjoyed coaching youth soccer and basketball for six years. He is an avid reader and also enjoys running, tennis, and golf.
